You can expect to pay £800-£1000 for a pug. If you pay much less than it probably has a bad blood line. I wouldn't recommend going to a rescue centre or someone you can't trust as they are normally cross-bred but it depends what you want the dog for? To show it or just as a family pet?
I would say that getting a pug is not a good idea as they have severe breathing problems as they have been interbred for so long & they can also be quite yappy & not the type of dog that likes to be picked up.
