some requirements 1. best glass, sharpest photo, excellent in low light. 2. stabilized 1080/30or 60 video 3. long zoom (10-16x) 4. will fit in a pocket. 5. under 300

Philip Woodward Your low light comment made me think of Sony cameras. They use Exmor sensors, specially designed for high performance in low light conditions (I have one in my Sony Ericsson Arc and it is a noticeable improvement on my previous same resolution Sony Ericsson when taking pictures in the evening, parties etc). This is a great piece of kit. Great 16x zoom, has a 10fps burst mode for photos, 1080p recording. Seems to be a good price in Jessops too.
